Happy Thanksgiving

We had so much to be thankful for this year on Thanksgiving. We are so thankful for our family, friends, health and most of all our precious little girl. It was so much fun having Caleigh with us this year. We thought a lot about what this year would be like having a baby and it was great to share this joy with our family. We had a big crowd here in Raleigh for Thanksgiving this year at my parents' house, but it was fun to see all of the little kids play together and have all of our family together. Caleigh slept right through the meal and had no clue what the excitement was all about. Next year will be a different story since Caleigh will be running around and able to try some turkey!

Caleigh playing with Cousin Dean
The ladies always go shopping on Black Friday and wear their Christmas attire. It is always fun to see what everyone is going to have on. It was fun to dress Caleigh up this year in her christmas outfit and take her on the shopping trip. We don't get out really early like most people, but we did manage to go to the mall and the parking was crazy. Caleigh was such a little trooper and managed to stay out with us for a full day. She loves to shop already. She is definitely my little girl! All of the little cousins went to see Santa too. Caleigh was doing fine, but when we got up to sit on Santa's lap, she went right to sleep in Santa's arms. It was too cute and I guess she felt very comfortable with Santa Claus!

Rice Cereal

Caleigh has been eating rice cereal for several weeks now, but she has really started to enjoy it more lately. Since Brian is working a lot right now during his busy season, she and mommy enjoy girl time together in the evenings while she eats her cereal. She makes all sorts of funny faces and just giggles when you put the cereal in her mouth. She will be 6 months old next week and will start solid foods. I bet she is going to love bananas and carrots! We are hoping that by feeding her cereal and solid foods more throughout the day that she will sleep better again. She has been in a habit of taking a really long evening nap and then waking up VERY early in the morning! We love it though and wouldn't trade life with her for anything!

Aunt Amy's Visit

Aunt Amy came to visit this past weekend and Caleigh loved meeting her "GAA GAA" (Aunt Amy didn't want to be called Great Aunt Amy so they came up with GAA GAA). It sounds very cute! Aunt Amy and Grandma kept Caleigh all day Friday and they all had a great time. Caleigh warmed up to her GAA GAA immediately and gave her a big smile! She enjoyed reading books with her too. We went out to dinner on Saturday night at Biaggi's in Cary. Caleigh was very good and ended up falling asleep at the table. We were sad to see Aunt Amy leave, but she'll be back for almost a week in February! Thanks again for the cute outfits and ladybug Aunt Amy and thanks to Grandma for the pictures because I went off and left my camera at home!

Happy Halloween

We had so much fun for Caleigh's first Halloween this year. Even though she was a little too young to understand what was going on, she still had a big day! We started off the day out to lunch with Uncle Matt. Then, we took her to see both sets of grandparents last night and she went trick or treating to a few of the neighbors' houses in their neighborhood. Caleigh was a ladybug and she actually liked having her costume on. It was so hot here that she started to burn up so we had to take her costume off after a little while. I even got crafty yesterday and made Caleigh's candy bucket. I got the idea off of another blog and was able to make one that looked very similar. She'll have to use it next year since the candy this year was really for mommy and daddy. Caleigh was exhausted by the end of the night, but she got lots of Halloween treats from family and friends and she loved them!
