Valentine's Day

We had a great Valentine's Day this year! Brian gave me some roses and chocolate, what every girl loves! We spent the day together just relaxing and running some errands. For dinner, he made reservations at Capital City Chop House. It was a great way to end the day. This will be our last Valentine's Day with just the two of us, but we are so excited for what is to come in the next couple of months!

Weekend Shopping

We decided to head to High Point, NC on Saturday to search for some additional nursery furniture we had been looking for. We have heard great things about the furniture stores in High Point and thought we would take a day trip. We had a list of places to go, but after stopping at Furnitureland South first, we didn't need to go anywhere else!! This place blew us away! We could have never imagined how large it would be and how much stuff they had. You could easily spend a day there, and we did just that! They even had a Bear Rock Cafe so we had a nice lunch there. The picture below is the front of the store. Have you ever seen a piece of furniture this large?? haha This won't make it to the baby's room, but it was fun to take a picture of! We did purchase the glider and ottoman for the nursery. We were so excited to finally find this and it was half of the price of others we had looked at! We only have to buy a dresser now and then we are done with furniture for the nursery.

This is the glider and ottoman we bought. It is a mint green, although it looks more like lime green in the picture. It is super comfortable and swivels and glides! We will probably spend a lot of time in this chair when the baby arrives!

23 Weeks

I am trying to get better at taking pictures each week. When people say you pop overnight, I really do believe them now! Here I am at 23 weeks (only 1 day away from 24 weeks)...

I feel huge at this point and it is hard to imagine getting to 40 weeks, but I'll manage and keep encouraging myself! We are getting very close to choosing our little girl's name and we are making more progress in the nursery! More updates soon...

Super Bowl 2009

This year was a big year for the Ziberna family since the Steelers were in the Super Bowl! Since Brian's parents are from Pennsylvania, they have always supported the Steelers. We ate dinner and watched the game at their house this year. It's a good thing they won too! We even wore the special 3D glasses for a commerical advertising a new movie. We had to get pictures of everyone in their cool glasses! Go STEELERS!

22 Weeks

I had my 22 week appointment today and everything is still going very smoothly! The baby girl is perfectly healthy and is growing at the right pace. I was shocked to realize I had gained 5lbs since my last appointment, but I have started to blossom this week and the doctor said I needed to catch up since I hadn't gained very much weight in the beginning of the pregnancy! We'll see how this progresses! I continue to feel pretty good, but I am starting to realize that I can't move around quite as much as I used to. I don't feel the baby move a lot yet, but I am sure that is going to start increasing in the coming weeks. We are still working on the nursery and getting everything ready for the baby to arrive. We are starting to pick out names, although we really don't agree on too many right now. We'll eventually pick one we both love and we will share the name when we make our final decision! I posted a belly shot below since a lot of people have asked to see the progress!

Snow Day!

We finally had snow in Raleigh this week! Brian and I were so excited that we had a snow day, even though we did work from home all day, it was nice to be home and watch the snow fall outside. We got about 4-6 inches of snow and it was definitely a winter wonderland! I am sad to see the snow melting away now, but hopefully we will get another good snow again soon. Here are some pictures we took from inside the house. I didn't make it outside all day, but I enjoyed from a nice warm house!

20 Weeks

Wow, it is hard to believe I am already halfway through this pregnancy! Where has time gone? I continue to feel good and I am starting to pop out a little bit, which is exciting! Brian's parents bought us our crib this weekend. We can't wait for it to arrive. We also got some paint samples this past weekend, so we are going to be painting the nursery very soon! We have already purchased the bedding set, so things are coming together very nicely. We are hoping to pick out the other pieces of furniture for the nursery very soon! Lots of choices!! We'll be sure to post pictures of the finished nursery when it is complete. This weekend has been very relaxing and we have been able to get a lot of things done around the house. If only we could get our christmas tree down! haha We have taken all of the decorations off, but we just can't seem to manage to get motivated to put the tree away. Maybe this week? We are headed to Wrightsville Beach this weekend with my parents and it will be a nice getaway since we haven't been anywhere for a while! I'll be sure to post some pictures soon!
