Easter 2010

We had a wonderful Easter holiday! The Easter Bunny made a little visit to our house so we started off our morning with Caleigh going through her Easter basket. We went to lunch with both of our families and enjoyed the time together. The weather was absolutely beautiful. After lunch we headed to Caroline's baptism and it was so special to be there and share in this day with our good friends, Julia and Bryan. We enjoyed spending time with family and we are so blessed to have Caleigh with us this year!

9 Month and Easter Pictures

We took Caleigh to have her 9 month pictures taken last weekend. Since it is close to Easter, we went ahead and put her Easter outfit on her for some pictures too. She was in such a good mood, but it was so hard to keep her still. She wanted to crawl everywhere and climb out of the little chairs. We can't believe how much she is growing and changing everyday! She'll be 10 months old this Sunday! So hard to believe!

St. Patty's Day

Caleigh enjoyed her first St. Patrick's Day! She wore her shamrock bib in true "Irish" style so she was sure not to be pinched! Pardon the mess on her bib. She is a really messy eater, but was determined to keep that bib on.

Watch out!!!

Watch out world...we have a crawler on our hands! Caleigh started crawling last week and we were thrilled! She had gotten so frustrated with not being able to get where she wanted and she finally took the plunge and crawled! She was a bit hesitant at first but she is EVERYWHERE now. We have definitely had to do some baby-proofing. Her daycare even said she was like a new baby...she is just so happy to be able to go where she wants! We are proud of our little girl! I'll post a video soon but here are some pictures for now.

9 Months Old

Caleigh turned 9 months old last Thursday! Poor little thing had the stomach bug and it took about 10 days for her to get back to normal. She is finally her happy self again and we are so thankful for that! She went to her check up on Thursday and she weighs 19lbs. She is growing and developing well. She isn't crawling just yet, but she is very close and it will only be a matter of time. She is pulling up on things and talking a lot. Just today, she said "uh oh" after I said it when she dropped her puff on the floor. She has started clapping too and it is the cutest thing! She is eating lots of fruits, veggies and puffs these days. She is very proud when she feeds herself the puffs. She still sleeps about 11-12 hours a night and we are trying to push her bedtime a little later. We'll see how that goes! She usually takes 2 good naps a day as well. She is very easy going and pretty much goes with us wherever we go. She loves eating out so she can see what other people are doing. This is such a fun age and I can't believe we are already thinking about her 1 year birthday!

Lauren's Baby Shower

My Mom and I hosted a baby shower for our sweet friend Lauren last Saturday. Since most all of our friends have had girls recently, it was so fun buying all of the brown and blue for a boy! Little James is due to arrive on April 13th and we are so happy for Lauren and Daniel. Caleigh can't wait to have another little playmate and I am sure we'll be making lots of visits to see them in Charlotte! We were so glad that Lauren's mom traveled here from Chicago to share in the special day. Caleigh was under the weather so needless to say she was a bit fussy at the shower. Her friend Caroline came too, but we couldn't manage to get a picture of the two of them. Maybe next time!

Birthday boy!

Along with celebrating Brian and Matt's birthdays this past week, Aunt Amy and Nancy were here for the week too! We had such a good time with everyone and Caleigh sure does love all of the attention she gets when family comes into town. We always have such a good time with them. Our time had to be cut a bit short since the stomach bug infested our household, but we still managed to enjoy several lunches and dinners together, lots of laughs and fun times!
