Caleigh's 1st Birthday Party

Caleigh's birthday party was on Saturday and we had so much fun! We had a cookout and it was super hot that day! We set up a tent outside for people to sit under while they ate. We did a pink and green theme and needless to say there were a lot of those colors around! We loved having all of our friends and family share this special day with us. Caleigh was a little tired before her party started and she ended up having to have a nap before it ended. She wasn't too sure about her cake at first, but she tried some after her nap, and LOVED the cake icing! My aunt took the pictures and she has over 300 that I will have to share in later posts. For now, I will share what I had on my camera of the big day! I didn't realize how hard it would be to take pictures while having a little girl that was into everything. Thanks to all who came and shared in this day with us! I still can't believe I have a 1 year old!

Caleigh's 1st Birthday

It's hard to believe that Caleigh is 1 year old now! The last year really flew by quickly but it was the best year of our life. Caleigh has changed our lives for the better and we thank god everyday for bringing such a precious blessing into our world. She definitely has a spunky personality and she can wear us down some days, but we wouldn't change her for anything. We love that she smiles all the time, explores her surroundings and just loves to be around people in general. She is starting to take a few steps and has completely converted over to table food. She probably weighs around 22-23 lbs we are guessing. She goes to her 1 year appointment on Wednesday so we'll see how her stats look. We will also be starting to convert her from formula to milk soon and try to get rid of the bottle. That could be interesting!

We had a fun day as a family on her actual birthday. Brian and I both stayed home from work and we just played and enjoyed being with Caleigh all day. Later in the afternoon, Bryan, Julia and Caroline came over for a visit since they couldn't come to her party. The girls were so funny to watch!

Is that a curl?

When we were sitting outside at Lauren and Daniel's house on Saturday, I noticed what might be a curl in Caleigh's hair. I would love for her to have curls! We'll have to wait and see I guess!

Memorial Day Fun!

We had a fun Memorial Day yesterday! Wyatt and Julie invited us over to their house to play with a new water table and splash pool they had gotten. Caleigh and Wyatt are always so cute when they play together. We love just watching them interact with each other. Neither one of them were too fond of staying in the splash pool. Caleigh seemed to be most interested in the water table and crawling around and checking everything out. I guess she thinks pool water should be "warm" like it was at the beach. She wasn't too sure about the cold water! We will have to work on that soon. Julie and I enjoyed catching up and talking, even though the babies kept us pretty busy because they always seemed to be getting into something. All in all we had a nice holiday weekend!

Meeting Baby James

We drove to Charlotte on Saturday to meet Baby James for the first time! He is so precious and Caleigh really enjoyed meeting her newest friend. Lauren and Daniel are great parents and we had such a fun day visiting with them. We can't wait to watch James and Caleigh grow up together! I know they will be great friends like their parents have been!
