I have been wanting to start putting bows and hats on Caleigh, but she just never seemed interested or she would pull them off before I could even get them on right! Well, yesterday my mom and I went to the Shopping Spree that the Junior League puts on. It's an awesome event by the way! We went for the first time last year and loved it so much, that we have decided to make this an annual tradition! I took the day off from work so we could spend more time there and really enjoy looking around. They had the cutest clothes for babies and hair bows, hats and accessories galore! I got Caleigh a hat, several bows and the bands to clip the bows on! So versatile if you ask me! She wasn't really digging the hat to begin with, but warmed up to it after a little while. She LOVED the bow band though and I think she really felt like a girly girl with it on! Brian told me I had to find something that wouldn't make a spot on her head like the others we have tried. These do the trick! She wasn't feeling all that well yesterday so she looks kind of out of it in some of the pictures. Her daycare is having picture night tonight for the babies and families. Should be a lot of fun to see all of the babies dressed up!

Exersaucer
We finally put together Caleigh's exersaucer this past weekend! She had been playing with them at her grandparents' houses and at daycare, but she now has her very own at home! She entertains herself a lot and loves all of the music and toys! She isn't quite strong enough to move herself around yet and she mostly sits back in the seat and just looks at things, but she still gets VERY excited and squeals when we put her in it. It is amazing how strong her legs have gotten from being in it. When you hold her on your lap now, she immediately tries to push off with her legs or stand up! We have a growing girl on our hands!

Tummy Time
At Caleigh's 4 month check up, the doctor said she needed to do more tummy time. Caleigh has always hated being on her tummy, but we have followed doctor's orders! She is doing much better with it and she is really getting strong! On this particular day, I think tummy time was more of a game to her than anything else, but she still looked cute!

4 Months Old!
We can't believe our little girl is already 4 months old!! Where has the time gone? Caleigh is such a sweet baby and we are loving our life with her! She is so much more interactive now and she really likes to jabber a lot. She went for her check-up at the doctor last Wednesday and she weighs 13lb 9oz and is 23 7/8 inches long! She is a growing girl! Caleigh still eats about every 3 hours but we are going to increase the size of her bottles. We hope to start her on some rice cereal soon. We think she will really like this and she should sleep a lot better! Caleigh still loves daycare, but has already missed a week because she caught something and was very sick. She is still getting over her cold/virus, but is doing much better now. I came down with it last weekend and we'll hope Brian will stay well! We are hardly ever sick so we will have to become immune to the baby "germs" too! Here are some of Caleigh's favorite things right now:
1. Her blankie and paci (she doesn't go to sleep without either of these things!)
2. "Mr. Cow" toy (he stays in her mouth and goes on all outings with us)
3. Bouncy seat and butterfly mat (she plays for at least 30-45 minutes in these and puts herself to sleep in them too mostly)
4. Pulling Mama's hair! Caleigh LOVES to pull my hair and I am not liking this too much!
5. Walks in the stroller
6. TV (she is still fascinated with the TV and has gotten really interested in watching football with Daddy)
7. Hands and feet (she is pretty much playing with her hands and feet all the time!)
8. Talking (she just jabbers away in the car, at daycare, and at home. It is hilarious to us...especially when she starts squealing!)
9. Mirrors (Caleigh loves to look at herself. We got her a new mirror and we watched her smiling at herself with it today. Too cute!)
10. Bottles (Caleigh is a very good little eater and she definitely knows what her bottle looks like. You can't hide it or she will keep staring until you give it to her!)
She is changing and learning new things everyday! We are just amazed and blessed each day!

Caleigh's New Toy
Caleigh had her 4 month check up yesterday, and since she was such a good girl, we got her a surprise! She loves mirrors and we saw this cute mirror at Target and thought it would be perfect for Caleigh so she could lay and look at herself. She still looks a bit confused, but I think the toys on the mirror distract her right now. She is also doing very well on her tummy so we lay her down and set this up to occupy her time in the evenings! I think she is going to be a little diva since she would sit and stare at herself for hours! I'll post more pictures and her stats in a 4 month post coming soon! It is so hard for us to believe that our little girl is growing so fast! Time flies!

Julia's Baby Shower
We hosted a baby shower for our good friend Julia last Sunday. We had such a good time picking out all of the little girl things for the shower. It was so fun to see everyone and Julia really got some nice things! Little Caroline is going to be very well dressed because she has so many clothes now! We are so glad we got to host the shower and we can't wait until November when Caroline arrives! So far, all of us with babies have had girls. I wonder if that tradition will continue on?
