Father's Day Weekend

We had a wonderful Father's Day weekend as a family of three at Wrightsville Beach this past weekend. We headed down on Friday night after Caleigh went to bed and enjoyed two fun days! We took Caleigh swimming at Shell Island on Saturday and she loved floating in the pool and watching all of the kids splash around. She is our little fish. We shopped a little and relaxed the rest of the day. It was nice to not have any plans and just enjoy our time together with our little family. On Sunday, Caleigh and I let Brian sleep in and we went to Dunkin Donuts to get him a special breakfast surprise. After that, we headed to Bluewater for an early lunch. We ended up sitting next to a family with a little boy the same age as Caleigh and she definitely enjoyed flirting with him while we ate. Caleigh was teething really bad over the weekend and not sleeping well, but you can't predict life with a one year old these days! Happy Father's Day to a wonderful Daddy and a wonderful husband! Caleigh is so lucky to have Brian as her Daddy and we love him so much! Also, Happy Father's Day to our Dads. They are very special to us and to Caleigh too!

A couple of weekends ago, Kelly, Cherri, Julia, Bryan and Caroline came to visit. Kelly and Cherri brought Caleigh some birthday gifts since they didn't get to come to the party. The outfits were so cute! Caleigh loves her "Aunties" and her friend Caroline so we hope they come to play again really soon!

Caleigh's 1st Birthday Party

Caleigh's birthday party was on Saturday and we had so much fun! We had a cookout and it was super hot that day! We set up a tent outside for people to sit under while they ate. We did a pink and green theme and needless to say there were a lot of those colors around! We loved having all of our friends and family share this special day with us. Caleigh was a little tired before her party started and she ended up having to have a nap before it ended. She wasn't too sure about her cake at first, but she tried some after her nap, and LOVED the cake icing! My aunt took the pictures and she has over 300 that I will have to share in later posts. For now, I will share what I had on my camera of the big day! I didn't realize how hard it would be to take pictures while having a little girl that was into everything. Thanks to all who came and shared in this day with us! I still can't believe I have a 1 year old!
