Labor Day Weekend

We had a fun Labor Day Weekend in Wrightsville Beach with my family this weekend. Caleigh also turned 15 months old while we were away. It's hard to believe! We ate lunch at Fish House on Saturday and Caleigh really enjoyed eating outside and playing on this table they had outside. We relaxed and just enjoyed time with family. It was nice to not have a lot of plans!

Michigan Trip

We traveled to Michigan last weekend to visit the Pisarski Family and for Caleigh to meet her Great-Grandpa for the first time. This was also Caleigh's first plane ride. She did great each way and we were thankful for that! Only a couple of meltdowns coming back and nothing that a few snacks couldn't take care of! Unfortunately, I didn't take hardly any pictures while we were there. I was just having so much fun that I forgot to get the camera out. Luckily, Katie took some pictures for us. Thanks Katie! I was sad I didn't get a picture of Caleigh and Great-Grandpa together, but she was so busy that it was hard to capture anyone with her. We had such a great time and couldn't have asked for a better weekend. We got to visit downtown Plymouth, see the University of Michigan, see the beautiful hotel where Cousin LeeAnn and Brian will get married next November, and see Cousin Katie's new apartment at college. Thanks again Pisarski family/Grandpa for a wonderful weekend!

Grammy's Birthday

We have been so busy lately that I haven't gotten to update the blog much. We're back now so I wanted to post what we've been up to. A couple of weekends ago we celebrated my mom's birthday. Caleigh loved her cake and we had a great time celebrating!

14 Month Pictures

We were a little late in getting pictures taken for Caleigh's one year birthday, but we took her today to get them done at 14 months! This time was much different with her being so mobile. It was a workout just to keep her still and get her to smile. We are exhausted but she did really well and we enjoyed lunch at Moe's afterwards. Caleigh loved her cheese quesadilla and chocolate chip cookie! We love this little girl more and more everday!

Birthday Weekend

I celebrated my 28th birthday on Saturday! Brian and Caleigh made me breakfast, bought me cards and gifts, and took me out for a fun day! We had lunch at Firebird's and then did a little shopping at North Hills. Later in the day we went to a wedding for a good friend and we had a blast. The wedding was at North Hills club and the place was beautiful! On Sunday, we celebrated my birthday with my family and had sushi and cookie cake. Yum! I have plenty of pictures to capture our fun weekend!

5 Years!

This past weekend, July 30, 2010, Brian and I celebrated 5 years of marriage! It is hard to believe how quickly the time has passed. It seems like we just got engaged and were planning a wedding...fast forward 5 years...and we have a house, a baby and a very happy life together. This was the first time I had been away from Caleigh and I was very nervous, but I knew she was in very good hands with her grandparents. After we dropped Caleigh off with my parents, Brian and I headed to our destination...The Grandover Golf Resort and Spa in Greensboro, NC. We were so excited to go on a mini-vacation and just enjoy our time together. The weather was a bit gloomy, but we still managed to have an awesome time. We got up early on Saturday and headed to Charlotte to go to IKEA and shop a little afterwards. We ate lunch at Sonny's BBQ, one of Brian's favorites! We came back and relaxed and had a very nice dinner at the hotel restaurant. There were two weddings going on while we were there and we sat in the lobby and did some "people watching." It brought back memories of our wedding and the fun time we had with family and friends. On Sunday, we stopped at Maggiano's for lunch before heading home to see our little girl. We couldn't wait to pick up Caleigh and the big smile on her face made it all worthwhile! Thanks for a wonderful weekend Brian! I look forward to many more years together! And a special thanks goes to Caleigh's Grammy, Grandaddy, Grandma and Grandpa for taking good care of our little girl and spoiling her some!

More Beach Fun

We went back to Wrightsville Beach last Thursday for some fun with Aunt Janice, Cousins Kellie, Whitney and Kinsley, and Mamaw. We had such a good time with them and enjoyed lots of pool and beach time. Kinsley and Caleigh loved swimming in the pool and hanging out on the beach. The weather was super hot so Caleigh spent a lot of time playing in the shade with her Mamaw. The girls kept us laughing a lot! Caleigh has really gotten into dancing and shaking her head and Kinsley loves to entertain too. Next year, we'll have a little boy cousin to add to the mix so it will definitely be interesting! We are so glad that everyone could get together for a fun weekend! Caleigh certainly misses all of the attention she had with everyone!
