Happy Birthday to you!

How long can you celebrate a birthday?? Well, we celebrated Brian's birthday, a week later, at Capital City Chophouse last night with my parents.

Birthday Celebrations!

This weekend we took a quick trip to Pennsylvania to celebrate 4 birthdays!! Brian's Aunt Helen turned 90, Grandpap turned 80 and Brian and Matt turned 25! We had a lot to celebrate. We ate dinner at Monterey Bay in Pittsburgh, which I must say has the most amazing views. We enjoyed having all of the Ziberna family together since it is rare we are all in one place at one time!

This was the view from our table at the restaurant!

Aunt Helen and Grandpap certainly enjoyed themselves!

Charlotte Visit

Last weekend we went to visit Lauren and Daniel in Charlotte. We loved seeing their new home and we had fun catching up and hanging out like ole' times! Here are a few pictures from our visit. Thanks for the southern hospitality Lauren and Daniel!

Happy Holidays!!

We really enjoyed the holiday season. First, we celebrated christmas with my parents, Travis and Kelly on the 23rd. We cooked dinner at home and then opened gifts. It was a lot of fun and more relaxed than usual. On Christmas Eve, we went to church with Brian's family and then his parents had my family over for dinner. We had a great time and enjoyed spending time together. On christmas morning, we went back to Brian's parents' house to open gifts before heading to Virginia. We arrived in Virginia on christmas night and had dinner and opened gifts with my dad's family. The next morning we got up for breakfast and opened gifts with my mom's family. We sure were busy but really enjoyed time spent with family. Here are some pictures of the past couple of days. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Christmas is in the air...

The christmas season is so exciting. We really were excited to put up all of our christmas decorations at the house. Last Saturday, we did our annual photoshoot for the christmas photo cards. This is always Brian's favorite time of year :-) Yes, I am a little picky when it comes to the picture, but I think it turned out nice!

We also celebrated my Dad's birthday last Sunday night. We have started a tradition of going to Angus Barn every year. The decorations are gorgeous and the food is great! We took pictures this year in front of the 30+ foot tree!

Thanksgiving

We really had a great Thanksgiving this year. My Mom's family and my Dad's family came in from Virginia and Tennessee to celebrate. We also had Brian's parents and brother come up for Thanksgiving dinner. We really enjoyed spending time together. On Friday and Saturday, the ladies and little girls went shopping while the men watched football and went to the NC State Game. We also enjoyed the Carolina Hurricanes hockey game on Friday night. I didn't get to take a lot of pictures this year, but here are a few...

Casey, Cody, and Abbie together. They were so cute!!

Catching up...

It has been a while since we updated the blog. We have been so busy lately. In late October, we celebrated my brother's 22nd birthday in Wilmington. We had a great weekend and we always enjoy going to the beach.

Mom and Dad enjoyed our dinner at the Chop House.

Travis getting ready to blow out his candles. Kelly doesn't like when I take her picture!

As most of you know, we purchased an umbrella for our outdoor furniture this summer and we absolutely loved it!! It even had solar lights built into it. Not to mention, we got it for $34 dollars since it was a display item. Well, one day I came home from work and this is the sight that greeted me. The umbrella was destroyed by the wind. Lesson learned: Close the umbrella when it is not in use :-) I know those of you who knew how proud of this item we were, are probably laughing!!

After building the new deck, we decided we should probably stain it. We worked very hard to get the whole deck stained with only 2 paintbrushes. I was proud of myself for helping out and actually doing a good job, according to Brian. We really like how it turned out.
