Ornament Party 2009

We went over to Kelly and Jonathan's house last night for the Annual Christmas Ornament Party. We had a great time and I was so excited to see little Caroline again. We decided to leave Caleigh with her Grammy because she is on a really good sleep schedule right now and we knew we would be really late getting home. She didn't sleep so well over there, but I think she had too much attention and was afraid she might miss something. It was nice to have a night out just the two of us and laugh and socialize with friends! Of course, I loved holding a little baby again. I can't even remember Caleigh being that small anymore. Everyone had a great time and thanks to The Perry's for hosting again!

The Happy Family (Julia, Bryan and Caroline)

Brian couldn't get over how small Caroline was!

All of the girls!

A Baby's Life

I was cooking for a Christmas party in the kitchen the other day and I realized I hadn't heard any noise for a few minutes. When I looked over I saw this....Oh the life of a 6 month old! This is what you get when a really tired, full baby plays hard!

Best Friends

Caleigh just loves Casey. When she goes over to my parents' house she is always looking for Casey and he is usually trying to hide from her because she is so rough with him. It is amazing how fascinated she is with dogs since her Mommy was scared to death of dogs as a child!!! Brian and I have already decided we will have to get a dog for Caleigh one day. She needs a little companion of her own!! She really likes Cameron too but she wasn't around for the pictures!

Christmas Pictures

Last Sunday we went to have Caleigh's 6 month pictures taken and we also took this opportunity to get Christmas pictures taken. Caleigh wasn't in a very good mood that day, but when we got to the studio, she was the life of the camera! Caleigh just smiled and loved all of the attention she got from the people who worked there. We love the pictures and had such a good time as a family. We are really getting excited for Christmas this year and can't wait to watch the joy in Caleigh's eyes as she experiences this special time of year! She is the true joy in our lives and we are so blessed to have her with us this year. She has changed us forever!

I am 6 Months Old!

I turned 6 months old on December 4th. Mommy and Daddy tell me they can't believe how fast I am growing! I weigh 16lbs 10oz and I am 25 inches long. I have quite the personality and I love to grab for everything, pull my socks off and shake my head "no" a lot. I am able to sit up now and I love doing this! I still haven't rolled over yet, but I really have no desire to. I am much more comfortable on my back. I have started eating solids and so far I have eaten rice cereal, bananas and carrots. I can't wait to try some new things because I don't really care for the carrots that much. I am sleeping pretty well, but since I have been waking up so early, the doctor said Mommy and Daddy need to let me cry a little bit and soothe myself back to sleep in the early mornings. I don't think I am going to like this too much. It shouldn't be long now until I start crawling. I can't wait to get around the house and explore! I heard Mommy say something about baby gates the other day...that doesn't sound too fun for me! Well...I think that is about all for now. I am discovering new things everyday and learn a lot from my friends at Presleybrooke. I am having 6 month pictures taken next weekend and I'll be sure to share those soon!

Christmas Trees

I just love Christmas time and I love putting up all of my decorations around the house. This year, we have 3 trees and it has been so fun adding new things to them. I love all of my trees, but I especially love Caleigh's tree this year. It is just so fun and girly.

This is the tree in our bonus room. I wanted to put funky colors in there this year and I loved the ribbon and ornaments I found at Michael's. I am still adding some finishing touches, but it is pretty much finished.

This is the tree in our family room downstairs. We had always bought live Christmas trees in the past, but last year we decided to buy an artificial tree and we think it looks just like a "real" tree.

And last but also our FAVORITE...Caleigh's tree! I knew I wanted to do pink, green and white and I found some ornaments to get her started this year. I have a few more to add as well.

Santa Babies

We met my family in Charlotte a couple of weekends ago to shop and spend time together. Kinsley and Caleigh got to visit with Santa at the Southpark Mall and they had a blast. Caleigh loved pulling on Santa's beard and she just smiled so big! We took Caleigh again this past weekend to sit on Santa's lap with her little cousins and she fell fast asleep in Santa's arms. I'll have to post a picture of that soon!
