Just Being Cute

We had gotten Caleigh this really cute pink Polo Ralph Lauren dress at the outlets in Myrtle Beach last summer and since the weather was so nice this past weekend we decided to let her wear it. She and her Daddy were twins in their Polo attire! You'll have to pardon all of the drool on her. She is cutting a tooth on the top now and she is constantly drooling! Aunt Amy and Nancy are here visiting with us this week. I'll post more pictures of our fun together soon!

Valentine's Day

We had a nice relaxing Valentine's Day weekend at home. Brian's flight got in late on Friday night so we didn't do too much over the weekend. I really needed some "me" time so Brian watched Caleigh for several hours on Saturday morning so I could go out and shop and run errands. It was such a nice Valentine's treat! I didn't know what to do with myself! On Sunday, Brian's parents watched Caleigh for a couple of hours so we could go eat sushi at Champa and shop around Brier Creek for a little while. We enjoyed having a meal together without worrying about anything or wondering how Caleigh would act in the restaurant! Since Brian has been in Florida for several weeks, we haven't gotten to spend much time together, so we enjoyed the few hours we had. Caleigh loved her Valentine's Day cards and she even got a few cards at daycare. Her Daddy wasn't too excited about her getting cards from boys at such a young age, but I think it was a sweet gesture!

8 Months Old

Caleigh turned 8 months old last Thursday. I know I keep saying this...but TIME FLIES!!! Not too much has changed since the 7 month post, but she is starting to get more mobile. She isn't crawling yet, but she gets in the stance and she can pull up on things now. She feels like a big girl and is so proud of herself when she pulls up and stands at her toy basket. We really have to watch her closely now because she can get into a lot of stuff...and quickly! Since Brian will be in Florida for 3 weeks on business, we are catching up on time with him on the weekends. So, this post is mostly pictures. Enjoy!

Caleigh's First Snow

Caleigh enjoyed her first big snow this past weekend. We really only took her out long enough to get some pictures and let her see what the snow was all about. She wasn't too sure of her snowsuit at first (she got this as a baby gift) and she didn't like having her hands all covered up. Once we took her outside and sat her down, she started to warm up to the snow. We had a nice weekend at home as a family and enjoyed our Snow Days. Caleigh's daycare was closed on Monday and delayed the past 2 days so she has really gotten spoiled with the extra time at home!

LeeAnn's Visit

This past weekend Cousin LeeAnn also came to visit us from Michigan! Caleigh loved meeting her cousin and they had a good time playing together. We wish all of the Pisarski family lived closer to us because we have such a good time with them when they come! Hopefully, we'll see them again at the beach in May. Thanks for visiting us LeeAnn! We miss you already!

Birthday Party

Caleigh went to her first official birthday party this past Saturday. Her good friend Layla turned 2! We had such a good time at The Little Gym in Holly Springs and Caleigh was fascinated by all of the little boys and girls! She wanted some cake, but she won't have to wait too long until her birthday to try some! She also enjoyed playing with her other good friend Caroline. She really wanted to get a hold of Caroline, but we had to make sure she wasn't too rough. One day they'll be the best of friends and can do lots of things together! Thanks for inviting us Layla!

7 Months Old

Caleigh, you are now 7 months old! Mommy and Daddy can't figure out where the time has gone! You weigh 17 lbs 5 oz and you are now in a Size 3 diaper. You wear mostly 9 months clothes. You are eating more and more baby food, but your favorites are still sweet potatoes and bananas. You tried oatmeal yesterday and loved it. We gave you some puffs yesterday but you choked so I don't think we are quite ready for those! You sleep about 12 hours at night. You go to bed around 6:30 and wake up around 6:15-6:30. Mommy and Daddy are enbarassed to say that you just went into your own crib about a week ago, but you LOVE your room and crib and sleep so much better. We try to get you stay up later so we can play with you, but you know your bed time! You are talking a lot now. You say "da da" very well along with "bye" and "hi" and other fun sounds. Still no "Mama", but we are working on that. You are sitting up very well, but you still don't roll over much and you aren't trying to crawl yet. You have 2 teeth and you constantly have something in your mouth. You love to wave your arms and wave "hello" to everyone you see. You are such a blessing to us and we love you more and more each day. We love that you have a personality now and we can't wait to see what you'll be like years from now! We love everything about you and you definitely have brought so much joy to our lives!
